On April 14, 1946, Ardis publicly confessed her faith, was confirmed and regularly received the life-giving body and blood of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Ardis grew up in the Lutheran faith attending Trinity Lutheran School through the eighth grade and graduated from Perkins County High School in 1950.
