Longtime resident of Madrid and Ogallala, Charlotte Easter, age 86 of Galatin TN, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Highpoint Hospice in Gallatin.
Charlotte was born November 28, 1927 in Merrick County Nebraska to George and Margaret (Ita) Weyers. She attended school and later taught in the Burwell area.
On June 10, 1956, Charlotte married Jim Easter at Ericson, Nebraska. The couple was blessed with 3 children and made their home in Madrid. After Jim’s passing in 2007, Charlotte moved to Ogallala.
Survivors include her son Wes and wife Judee of Hershey, daughter Jayme Cupper and husband Roy of North Las Vegas NV and son Dennis and wife Susan of Gallatin, TN, 5 grandchildren and one great grandchild, along with many other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established in Charlotte’s memory. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com, where the service will be streamed live for those unable to attend.
Cremation was chosen, with a memorial service to be held 10:30 Saturday, December 6 at the New Hope Ministry Center with Pastor Eric Wait officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Madrid Cemetery at a later date.
Prairie Hills Funeral Home of Ogallala is in charge of arrangements.
