Marian C. Jarosz, age 89, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2012 in Westminster, Colorado.
Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Luke’s Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. with Father Bryan Ernest as celebrant. Burial will be in the Ogallala Cemetery.
Marian was born August 28, 1922 in Ogallala, the daughter of Everett and Mary (Carpenter) Welsh. She grew up and attended schools in Ogallala before marrying Edwin Jarosz. The couple moved from Ogallala to Colorado in the 1940’s where they remained until retiring to Sun City West, Arizona. Marian had been employed by the Cherry Creek National Bank in Denver and was a member of the board of directors of the bank. Her hobbies included cross stitching and reading. Following Ed’s death in 1996 Marian returned to Denver to reside.
Survivors include one daughter, Beverly (Leroy) Rupp of Northglen, CO; three grandchildren, Kelly (Bob) Pickett of Muskegon, MI, Cheryl (Bruce) McKenney of Centennial, CO and Stephen (Selena) Rupp of Aurora, CO; one brother, George (Mildred) Welsh of North Platte, NE; one sister, Alice (Weldon) Bailey of Cotoopaxi, CO; and four great grandchildren, Jonathan McKenney, Benjamin McKenney, Melisa Ervin and Jeremy Ervin.
