Rose Ann Brown, age 60 of Ogallala, passed away Sunday evening, June 3, 2012 at Aurora, Colorado.
Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 7th at St. Luke’s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 8th at St. Luke’s Catholic Church with Father Bryan Ernest as celebrant. Burial will be in the Ogallala Cemetery.
Rose Ann was born August 2, 1951 at Sutherland, Nebraska the daughter of James and Librada (Navarro) Diaz. Rose Ann graduated from high school in 1969. In 1981 she married Roger Brown. Together they owned and operated R & R Conoco in Ogallala. She also worked as a travel agent for several years at Ogallala Tour and Travel. Rose enjoyed carpooling many of the local neighborhood kids. She had been a CASA volunteer and was a member of the Lupus Awareness Foundation. One of her favorite things was traveling with her family. She was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Roger Brown of Ogallala; sons, Kyle McCormick Brown and Roger (Carly) Brown, Jr.; mother, Librada (Navarro) Beltran; granddaughters, Megan and Molly Brown; sisters, Betty (Jack) Beard of Lewellen, Mary Lou Diaz of Kimball, Libby (Wayne) Wood of Ogallala; brother, Joe (Jenny) Diaz of North Platte; nieces, Lisa Diaz, Libby Baez, Jamie Wood, Joette Quiroga, Josie, Billy, JD, Jessica Diaz; nephews, John McConnell, Jeremiah Jeltima, Brennen Hopping and Jeremy Diaz; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, James Diaz and a sister, Dora Marie Diaz.
