ARDIS D. MUELLER, 94 of Ogallala, NE, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Indian HIlls Manor in Ogallala.
Ardis was born March 1, 1921 at Lincoln, NE to Stephen "Earle" and Anna (Dahl) Hilliard. She graduated from Ogallala High School with the class of 1937. Ardis went to college in Denver before eventually marrying Charles T. "Chuck" Mueller on August 17, 1942, in the Catholic Church rectory in Ogallala. The couple resided in Colorado for a few years until 1948, when they returned to Ogallala, to farm and feed cattle. Ardis and Chuck retired from farming in the late 1980's. She went on to be an excellent grandmother, and was exceptionally proud of her grandchildren in their many endeavors. She also had an artistic flare that was easily identified in her paintings and piano playing. Ardis was very social, and loved to play cards. She loved to garden, and was also a proficient seamstress.
Ardis was a long time member of St. Luke's Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She had also been involved in P.E.O. and was a past Honored Queen of Job's Daughters.
In addition to her husband, Ardis was also preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Jerry; daughter-in-law, Barbara Mueller; and a sister, Lorna Vinckel.
