August 5, 1937 — January 3, 2021

Charles Edward William Saxton Sr, 83, passed away on January 3, 2021, at the Indian Hills Manor in Ogallala.

Chuck was born August 5, 1937, in Casper Wyoming. He attended school in the Casper area.

In 1955, Chuck enlisted in the US Navy, where he served during the Korean Conflict. His service took him overseas, with most of his time spent in Japan. Following his honorable discharge, Chuck returned to the States, where he made his home in Wyoming, before moving to Paxton, Nebraska. He would eventually move to Ogallala, where he spent many years as a handyman.

Chuck's had something of a 'grumpy old man' persona. He spent alot of his free time fishing, and nearly every day walking around the streets of Ogallala. He made his typical rounds everyday like clockwork. His life was also consistently rooted in his great grandchildren, whom he adored.

A memorial has been established in Chuck's memory for later designation. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com.
