CHERYL L. ELLIS, 57 of Ogallala, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019, in Ogallala.

Cheryl was born July 6, 1961, at Denver, Colorado to James Ellis and Barbara (Geer) Clark. She attended Excelsior Youth Center.

Cheryl loved to dance, especially square dancing. She was an excellent gardener and was blessed with a green thumb. She also enjoyed horses and bowling. She was even set to compete at the Special Olympics this year in bowling. Cheryl also enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards, and BINGO. Perhaps one of her most favorite pastimes was watching WWE with her friend Tom.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Jim Ellis; step-father, Dean Clark; her grandparents; and an aunt, Mary Tanner.

Survivors include her mom, Barbara Clark of Brule; aunt, Linda McKinnie of Ogallala; sister, Donna (Mike) Doman of Greeley, CO; brother, Jim (LaDonna) Smith of Longmont, CO; niece and nephews, Christoper Burn, Terry-Lee Wasko, Sarena Talarico, and Jeremiah Smith; cousins, Richard (Rose) Coca, Lee Crutchfield (Julian Bouck) and Jacosa McKinnie; along with many other relatives and friends.

A memorial has been established in her memory. Condolences can be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 30, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at Prairie Hills Funeral Home in Ogallala with Father Bryan Ernest officiating. Her cremains will be scattered.
