DIANNE BORM, 74 of Ogallala, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020, at Indian Hill Manor in Ogallala.
Dianne was born May 23, 1946, at Northfield, Minnesota, to Manford and Alma (Hillestad) Wilbur. She attended school in Minnesota.
On September 4, 1982, Dianne married Bill Borm at Sidney. The couple made their home in Sidney, and eventually Lodgepole for over 25 years. While living in Lodgepole, Dianne was very active in the community, even serving as the Mayor for a time. The couple would later move to Ogallala in retirement.
Dianne loved to fish and had a caregiver's spirit. She was also very faithful. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Chappell.
Dianne was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; son, Tracy Borm; granddaughter, Shelly; siblings, Ellert Bothun, Ardell Bothun, Merlin Wilbur, and Avis Stevens.
Survivors include her children, Brian (Rhonda) Borm of Oklahoma City, OK, Cory (Stacy) Borm of Cheyenne, WY, Kari (Mike) Barnes of Ogallala; 9 grandchildren, Jessica, Jared, Jesse, Austin, Karissa, Josh, Katie, Colton, and Cooper; step-grandchildren, Cara and Meagan; great-grandchildren, Jensen, Logan and Wyatt; along with many other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established in Dianne's memory for later designation. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com, where a recording of the service will be posted.
Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Chappell with Fr. Bryan Ernest as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Chappell Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Prairie Hills Funeral Home in Ogallala. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Chappell.
