Donald Lee Senyard

Don Senyard, 70, of Ogallala, passed away on January 30, 2021, at the Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, CO.

Don was born March 18, 1950, at Omaha, Nebraska to Walter and Genevieve (Barber) Senyard.

On June 26, 1967, Don entered the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served in Vietnam. His service was throughout that time was met with several commendations, including a Purple Heart. Following his discharge on April 28, 1969, Don returned to Nebraska. On January 20, 1971, Don married Karen Armstrong at Brule, and their union was blessed with four children, Tracy, Michael, Kevin, and Michelle. The family made their home in Ogallala, where Don had worked in several fields, primarily in service roles.

Don was typically the quiet person in the room. He was humble about his accomplishments and got along with most everyone. He loved to fish when he got the chance, and like all good, grandpa's loved spending time with his grandkids whenever he got the chance.

Don was preceded in death by his wife, Karen; son, Tracy Senyard; his parents; and sister, Jacqueline Senyard.

Survivors include his sons, Michael and Kevin (Channing) Senyard of Ogallala; daughter, Michelle (Joshua) Borges of Sterling, Co; five grandchildren, Mileena, Anniston, Leah, & Olivia Borges, and Zavian Senyard; sister, Billie Roebuck of Venango; along with many other relatives and friends.

A memorial has been established in Don's memory for later designation. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021, at 10:00 am at the New Life Church in Ogallala, with Pastor Wes Harmon officiating. Inurnment will follow the service at the Ogallala Cemetery with Military Honors.
