Harold Lee Bingham

HAROLD "LEE" BINGHAM JR., 71 of Ogallala, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Ogallala Community Hospital.

Lee was born July 23, 1944 to Harold Lee Bingham Sr. and Bellouise (Dhabalt) Bingham. He grew up in Lucas and Marion Counties in Iowa. After graduating from Pleasantville High School in 1962, Lee entered the United States Air Force. Following his 4 years in the Air Force, Lee spent 38 years in the Nebraska National Guard for a total of 42 years of military service. On June 17, 1967 he married Linda L. Lade at Lincoln. Their union was blessed with 3 children, Angela, Jennifer and Cameron.

While working in Lincoln Nebraska, Lee was able to go to night classes to complete his Bachelor of Science degree through Doane College in 1992. Lee retired from the military in 2004 and since that time has helped family and friends with countless endeavors. He was active in his church and community.

Lee is survived by his wife, Linda; two daughters, Angela (Kyle) Hulinsky of Ogallala, NE, and Jennifer (Dan) Nelson of Holdrege, NE; and a son, Cameron (Cheyenne) Bingham of Grand Junction, CO; grandchildren, Calin, Sara, Gracie, Parker & Rhett. His brothers, Stan (Deb) Bingham of Melcher, lA, Sam (Sheryl) Bingham of Melcher, lA, Danny Bingham of Pleasantville, lA, and Denny (Pat) Bingham of Fresno, CA; one sister-in-law, Marilyn (Al) Pfeiffer of Waverly, NE.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Johnny & Jerry.

Memorials are suggested to New Hope Church in Lee's memory. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com, where the service will be streamed for those unable to attend.

Services will be on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the New Hope Church in Ogallala with Pastor Eric Wait officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell at 2:30 PM CT. Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Prairie Hills Funeral Home in Ogallala.
