PAUL D. ANDERSON, 72 of Sac City, IA, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at Loring Hospital in Sac City.

Paul was born January 12, 1946, in Santa Cruz, California to Ernest G. and Lorraine (Garrett) Anderson. Paul lived in California until high school when the family moved to Brule, where Paul graduated from Brule High School in 1963.

Upon graduation from High School, Paul worked several trades in several different communities. Paul worked in the meat department of grocery stores in Ogallala and Imperial, and later as a motorcycle mechanic in Ogallala. Paul then located to Utah and Iowa, where he was employed in mechanic and maintenance positions. Paul lived his last 25 years in Sac City, Iowa where he worked as a diesel mechanic for a trucking company until his retirement.

The day following his retirement, Paul had a stroke which left him in a wheelchair and residing in assisted living until his death.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and half-siblings, Pete Anderson, Bob Anderson, and Lorene 'Sis' Anderson Mercer.

Survivors include his daughter, Angie Anderson Gutierrez; stepchildren, Martin Anderson, Heidie Anderson; and several grandchildren.

Graveside services for Paul Anderson will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. at the Brule Cemetery with Pastor Jon Dickmander officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the donor's choosing in Paul's memory. Condolences can be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com.
