Robert Seals, Sr.

Robert “Bob” Seals, Sr., age 59, of Ogallala, passed away November 13, 2013 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Robert was born January 28, 1954 at Wray, Colorado to John and Dorothy (Mylon) Seals. He graduated from Saylorville High School in Des Moines, Iowa.
On August 21, 1973, Bob married Christine Goddard at Des Moines. The couple made their home in the Des Moines area briefly, before moving to Wyoming, and eventually Ogallala in the early 1990’s. Bob held several jobs throughout his life, including working at the Opportunity Center in North Platte, American Shizuki & Fat Dog’s Conoco service station in Ogallala.
Bob was a loving and nurturing person who did his best to look out for his family and friends. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Bob was an excellent cook, loved to paint landscape scenery, and absolutely adored his grandson. He was also a past member of the Loyal Order of Moose.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a special step father, L.J. "Tuffy" Pinegar; son, Daniel Brian Seals; brother, Steve Seals, Sr.; nephew, Arron Seals; mother in law, Janola Goddard; and a special family friend, Alex Hickenbottom.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Seals of Ogallala; son, Robert Seals, Jr. of Ogallala; daughter, Whitney Nichole Seals of Ogallala; grandson, Logan Annen of Ogallala; sister, Barb (Steve) Hill of North Platte; brother, David Seals of North Platte; 2 sisters in law, Debra Goddard of Des Moines, IA and Marcia Goddard of Adair, IA; friend, Jessica Annen of Ogallala; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Spinal Muscular Atrophy Foundation in Bob’s memory.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Gubser Funeral Home Chapel in Ogallala with Pastor Ken Dyches officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
Visitation for memorial book signatures will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Gubser Funeral Home in Ogallala.
Gubser Funeral Home in Ogallala is in charge of arrangements.
