ROGER G. BUCKLER, 64 of Brule, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Great Plains Health in North Platte.

Roger was born February 17, 1954, at Greensburg, Indiana to Claire and Sarah (Dake) Buckler, the youngest of 6 children. He was raised and attended school in Merino, Colorado.

Roger worked in trucking for the majority of his working life and had made his home in Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska. He married his longtime love and best friend, Beverly Ann Fritzler in Sterling, Colorado. The couple had most recently been living in Brule. Despite a career in trucking, Roger was always a farmer at heart and had a soft spot for animals.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents and his father in law, Harold Fritzler.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly of Brule; his children, John (Jessica) Chatman of Greeley, CO, Bob (Melanie) Buckler of Sterling, CO, Sarah Vasquez of Ogallala, and Kevin Buckler of Greeley, CO; 9 grandchildren, Samantha, Tabitha, Brandon, Emily, Alyssa, Jacob, Lucas, Kaleb, and Mehlia; 2 great-grandchildren, Aliyha and Xynthia; his brothers, Wilbur (Janice) Buckler of Fairbanks, AK, Darrell (Elaine) Buckler of Sterling; sisters, Janelle (Dale) Ruf of Sterling, CO, Marjorie Prickett of Wasilla, AK, Sharon (Kenny) Karg of Longmont, CO; mother in law, Betty Fritzler of Sterling, CO; along with many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Roger's memory. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com.

A Private family committal service will be held in the Brule Cemetery.

Prairie Hills Funeral Home of Ogallala is in charge of arrangements.
