Roxann Marie Garner

November 6, 1963 — September 9, 2018

ROXANN MARIE GARNER, 54 of Ogallala, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018, at the Ogallala Community Hospital.

Roxann was born November 6, 1963, at Grand Island, Nebraska to Harry and Evelyn (Martin) Burton. She attended Grand Island Northwest High School.

Roxann would eventually move to California with Roger Huestis. In the mid-1980's, Roxann moved to Grand Island, where she worked as a CNA. In 1989, Roxann married Tom Garner, and although they later divorced, they remained close friends throughout the years. Roxann moved to Ogallala in 2001, following the death of her father, to be closer to her family.

Roxann enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and camping at the lake. She had opinions about most everything and generally wasn't shy about sharing them. She was feisty, and at times, short-tempered, but her family always knew that she loved them.

Roxann was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her children, Christina Brown of Ogallala, Camie (Jose) Tovar of Elm Creek, Cassandra Burton of Grand Island, Candice Burton of North Platte, and Thomas Garner of Ogallala; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; her mom, Evelyn Green of Osceola; 3 brothers, Stoney Burton of IA, Donnie Burton of Lincoln, Mike Burton of Osceola; along with many other relatives and friends.
