Trenton "Trent" Davis

TRENT DAVIS, 39, of Ogallala, passed away April 23, 2022, at his home in Ogallala.
Trent was born May 17, 1982, at North Platte, Nebraska, to Leonard and Connie (Simpson) Davis. He attended Hershey High School before graduating from Sutherland High School with the class of 2000.
Trent attended New Mexico State University at Las Cruces for a year before transferring to the US Golf Academy at Chandler, AZ. Trent went on to work as the assistant golf pro at the Dismal River Golf Club. From there, Trent went to work at the Pinehurst Golf Course in North Carolina. After a few years, he returned to Nebraska, driven by the desire to be close to family. While in Nebraska, Trent worked at the Ethanol plants at both Sutherland and Madrid. Trent eventually took a position with Simon Contractors and, later, Paulsen Inc.
Trent loved golf, and could usually be found out on the course, whether it was playing or just tinkering around. Trent's life was profoundly enriched when he was blessed with his son, Tanyon. His world revolved around his child and family, who always brightened his life. Trent loved the water and did a lot of jet skiing after moving to Ogallala. Trent also loved to cook and sing.
Trent was preceded in death by his grandparents, Benny Simpson and Leonard (Jo) Davis.
Survivors include his son, Tanyon of Ogallala; parents, Connie (Bruce) Yauney of Sutherland and Leonard Davis of North Platte; sister, Amanda (Jason) Carr of Sutherland and their children, Kyler, Maddie, and Trampas; brother, Troy Davis of Lake George, CO., and his children Paige and Trey; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
A memorial has been established in Trent's memory with the intent to support his son, Tanyon. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com, where the service will be streamed live.
Memorial services will be on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Church of Christ in Ogallala. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Hyannis Cemetery.
Memorial book signing will be on Thursday, from 4 pm until 6 pm at the Prairie Hills Funeral Home in Ogallala.
