Cheryl K. Kendrick, 60 of Omaha, NE, passed away Monday, June 8, 2026 at her home after a long battle with cancer.
Cheryl was born on December 24, 1965, to Eugene Charles Convery and Gwendolyn Almira Larsen in Glendale, CO.
After graduation, Cheryl attended Denver Technical College for a year before transferring to Southwestern Baptist Bible College, where she met her husband, Toby Lynn Kendrick. They were married that same year on July 18, 1987. Cheryl and Toby went on to have three boys, Jeremiah Eugene Kendrick, Joshua Richard Kendrick, and Jacob Israel Kendrick.
Cheryl's life was marked by her deep love of Jesus and her passion for prayer. Cheryl spent many hours a day in prayer for her family, friends, and nation.
Preceding her in death were her mother, Gwendolyn Almira Larsen; grandparents, Oscar Charles Convery and Myrtle Delores Convery, Eddie Lewis Larsen and Nell Opal Larsen.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Toby Lynn Kendrick; father, Eugene Charles Convery; sons, Jeremiah (Raiani), Joshua (Noemi), and Jacob (Cait); granddaughter, Elowyn Elizabeth; grandson, James Nilson Kendrick; and sisters, Eileen Carol Convery, Charlene Delores Garcia, and Jerrilyn Almire Schmidt; brothers, Jerry Otto Schmidt and Gordon Lewis Schmidt.
A memorial has been established in Cheryl's name for later designation. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Prairie Hills Funeral Home Chapel in Ogallala with Pastor Channing officiating. Interment of cremains will be at a later date at the Whitney Cemetery.
