Clara A. Wamsley

Clara Anna Perlinger Wamsley was born March 25, 1929, to Paul Perlinger III and Mary Felner Perlinger on the family farm near Elsie Nebraska and peacefully passed away on June 26, 2026, at Spring Gardens Assisted Living in Meridian Idaho.

Clara attended a small rural school near Paxton Nebraska with her 32 first cousins. She was third in the line of 6 siblings. She graduated from Paxton High School.

On Oct. 5, 1950, Clara married Larry Wamsley and had 3 children, Terry, Edward and Donald. The family resided in Ogallala Nebraska

Clara was employed at TRW where aerospace components were made, and some components were on board space exploration ships.

Clara was a devoted Mom, Grandmother and Great Grandmother who was always available whenever extra help was needed by her children. Clara was also a devoted Catholic who said her rosary almost every day. She served her church in various ways.

In 2012, Clara moved to Meridian Idaho to be closer to family after living in her home in Ogallala for 47 years. In 2020 Clara entered Spring Gardens Assisted Living where the staff enjoyed her and commented that she was pleasantly confused and very content and sometimes a little feisty.

Clara and her sister Edna shared a special bond. In a touching coincidence, Edna passed away on Clara's birthday, and Clara passed away on Edna's birthday.

Clara is survived by her daughter, Terry (Medric) Wamsley Buck; her son, Donald Wamsley; her daughter-in-law, Karen Wamsley; her grandchildren, Michelle (Doug) Kuenning Bullock, Jess (Deanna) Kuenning, Molly Wamsley Shannahan and Matt (Jenny) Ormiston; and her great grandchildren, Jacob Kuenning, Anthony Cruz, Alena Stager, Aunica Stager, Paisley and Pearl Ormiston.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son Edward and all of her siblings.

Celebration of Life ceremony: Holy Apostles Catholic Church in Meridian Idaho, July 27, 2026, at 4:00pm.

Funeral Mass-Celebration of Life: St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Paxton, Nebraska on July 31, 2026, 1:00 pm. Inurnment will be at the Paxton Cemetery.
