Jeremy Keith Kudrna, 52, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on April 11, 2025.
Jeremy was born on August 29, 1972, in Denver, Colorado, to Jean (Magnuson) and Dale Kudrna. His early years were spent in several communities — attending kindergarten in Arvada, Colorado, first grade in Jamestown, North Dakota, and later in Ogallala, Nebraska. Jean, Jeremy, and his older sister, Melanie, moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, where Jeremy graduated from high school.
After graduation, Jeremy moved with his mother to Springfield, Missouri, where he spent most of his adult life. He worked in the maintenance department at Hobart Appliance, where his wide range of technical skills made him an invaluable part of the team. Jeremy was a man who could fix just about anything — welding, electrical work, plumbing, and construction came naturally to him. He even converted an old rusted tank into a functional diesel fuel tank.
In April of 1995, Jeremy married Julie Cline, and together they made their home in Springfield. Their union was blessed with two children, Matt and Samantha. Jeremy and Julie shared many years together, raising their family and building a life in the Ozarks. They purchased property where they began raising cattle, with Jeremy building fences, working the land, and establishing the farm from the ground up with Julie's help.
Jeremy was an outdoorsman and sportsman who loved hunting and fishing and belonged to a local shooting club. He enjoyed working on projects at the local Legion Club and was known for his skill as a pool player, competing with their team in Springfield. A dedicated Kansas City Chiefs fan, Jeremy loved football season and gathering with friends for games.
He had a generous heart, always ready to help his neighbors and friends. During the pandemic, he helped prepare a friend's home for his return from the hospital, adapting the house for his special health needs. Jeremy and Julie's circle of close friends — Shane & Jennifer, Rick & Earl — among many others, were like extended family to them. He valued their friendship deeply and the time they shared over the years.
Those who knew Jeremy remember his intelligence, resourcefulness, and mechanical talent. Whether it was repairing something, starting a new project, or helping someone in need, he approached every task with determination and creativity.
