Raymond Lehl

December 22, 1953 — September 22, 2022

RAY W. LEHL, 68, of Paxton, passed away September 22, 2022, at his home in Paxton.

Ray was born December 22, 1953, at Sutherland, Nebraska, to Albert and Garnet (Arnesdorf) Lehl. He graduated from Paxton High School.

Ray worked as a welder for many years, primarily for construction projects. He would eventually marry Linda Coker and gained a daughter, Amy. The family resided in Arizona. Ray moved back to Paxton following the end of his marriage to Linda and continued to work in welding.

Ray loved to play golf and shoot pool. He always enjoyed participating in pool league over the years. Ray had long-held season tickets at Memorial Stadium and was a true fan through thick and thin. He also had an abiding fondness for a cold can of Coke. It's possible that the Huskers and Coca-Cola may have lost their biggest fan with Ray's passing. Love and God bless you, Ray.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Lehl, and brother-in-law, Steven Eschen.

Survivors include his sister, Susan Eschen of Wilcox, NE; niece, Melissa Marshall of Culbertson, NE; daughter, Amy Helford and her family of Bruceville, TX; former mother-in-law, Kay Coker of Bruceville, TX; along with many other extended relatives and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association in Ray's memory. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsfuneralhome.com.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 10:30 am at the Trinity Evangelical Church in Paxton. Inurnment will be in the Paxton Cemetery.
